Masquerade/ Native Digitals
As host in our Red Brick Project “Masquerade”, Dennis takes on a less prominent though not less important role (or roles) in our this semesters production “Native Digitals”. As one of the virtual digits he represents prominent aspects of internet culture. Be sure not to miss what  awaits you in the universe of Maggie.

Inspector Hound
At first Inspector Hound is a bit confused about the house party on Muldoon Manor, because there is no crime to report, come hell or high water. But luckily a dead body is found and Hound can start his investigations. Who has murdered whom, where is the Madman, who is this shady figure called McCoy and where is Lady Cynthia’s husband. Inspector Hound is in his element.

Lord Arthur Savile
Arthur tries to be the best man he can be – the best husband and the best son-in-law. So far, his only problem is that he is upper class and that the only place where he truly fits in is the House of Lords. But when Mr Podgers foretells that he will be a murderer, Arthur is not shattered; instead he immediately tries to solve the problem. Why not kill someone soon and the thing will be over?
He carefully chooses allies and picks out a victim, he plans everything very well and – if the odds were not completely against him – he might have succeeded. Unfortunately, his victims survive and he almost gets himself killed. The situation becomes more and more complicated, so, in order to wrap things up before the wedding, the measures he takes become more drastic by the minute. Then, just when Arthur is about to actually kill someone to get things done, he begins to have second thoughts: did Mr Podgers predict the future correctly? And can he really trust Herr Winkelkopf or will he turn against him?

Romeo as JulietSS 2008
Romeo/Soldier
Dennis might be the best Romeo ever and he surely is the funniest. He constantly falls in love with every woman (or man) he sees and has absolutely no eyes for his pretty wife, Juliet. When he falls in love with Constance he is willing to do everything he can to make her love him back. The soldier is probably the least important role of the whole play, but Dennis manages to make even that figure appear to be really exciting.

WS 2007/2008
Harold Gorringe
Harold Gorringe is Brin’s neighbour. They have been friends for quite some time. Harold buys and sells antiques, has quite expensive furniture himself, is friends with Miss Furnival and fancies Brin. His biggest hope is that Brin finally comes out of the closet and admits that he loves him as well. When he comes back from a weekend trip and arrives in the dark house, he is happy about spending some time alone with Brin. The presence of Carol and Miss Furnival annoys Harold but he puts up a good face on the matter. Nevertheless, a couple of shocking aspects are still to be revealed to him. The engagement is a major setback for him but when he finds out that Brin has stolen/borrowed his furniture and therefore even dared to touch it, he cracks up completely. Nobody knows what will happen when the lights go on again and Harold can act out his revenge…

Toby/Son
Dennis Wienert was the star of our last production as Harry. This season he returns to the stage with a hearty welcome to a very special place where actually nobody wants to end up – ever. But with his nice introduction even you might feel a little bit more comfortable. His second role is a little boy who has to cope with his mother’s decision to exchange his dad for a new man in the house. But maybe he can keep the dog.
