Next to acting, Debby takes also care of the website, its updates and contents. She is co-writer and co-editor with Sabine, Melanie and Peter in the team.

Desdemona
This season, Debby will be Desdemona who is Othello’s wife and who is supposed to die in the Shakespearean play. However, the audience will encounter a different Desdemona. She is strong and has a mind of her own. She is not easily undone and loves to watch battles like soccer matches. Deceit and treachery are brewing up nevertheless. Can Constance save her? Can Desdemona fulfil her boon to Constance? And what happens when Desdemona meets Juliet?
WS 2007/2008
Carol Melkett
Deborah played a few roles in the revue of last season. This semester she dared to play the first leading role of her life.
The challenge this season was the fact that two actresses play Carol Melkett. Rehearsals were more difficult for that reason as both actresses needed to rehearse the same scenes and choreographies for the in-the-dark part. Nevertheless, the challenge was a chance as well. Carol’s being played by two different actresses opens the way for a broader interpretation of her character. Each actress acts differently, adding her own personality to the role. Deborah shares the role of Carol Melkett with Dagmar Hasenkamp.
Carol is the spoiled and silly daughter of Colonel Melkett. She is upper class and lets other people know that fact. Dealing with servant-like creatures such as the electricity people is very dreary. She loves Brin but focuses very much on her goals of marriage and a secure life. She works hard to get there and plays the game well as long as she is in control. When things get out of control and she does not understand the world anymore, Brin’s lying is revealed and Harold is beside himself with rage, Carol becomes the little girl again who hides behind her daddy. What will happen when Carol finds out that Brin is not over Clea at all and the he has lied about that attachment? Can Carol really rely on her father or will she need to take charge of the matter herself? What does Harold do to her when he finds out that Brin is not about to come out of the closet but is engaged to Carol?

Debbie Katzenberg/Coastguard/Counsel/Liz/Mrs. Vernon/Suicide
Deborah Leibundgut, who was born and raised in Kassel, is now studying in this beautiful town after a year abroad in Maryland, USA. After one season as a Make-Up-Artist backstage, she acts in this season’s production. She plays Debbie Katzenberg who questions Death nervously and she plays a German coastguard struggling with the English language. Moreover, she enacts a counsel who is prosecuting a very charming mass murderer and Liz who is in jail for murder and has a very unique opinion about her crime. As Mrs. Vernon, she tries to help Mrs. Long-Name with her speech disorder.
WS 2006/2007
Make Up
Due to an injury Debby was not able to perform but she helped backstage with the make-up. She did this for the first time and an exiting experience.
