Summer 2009
Wildest Dreams by Alan Ayckbourn
Performed at K19 by the Red Brick Company, Moritzstraße 19

Dare to dream! Imagine your wildest dream and ponder on the possibilities – what if it became reality?
Dark winter nights are best spent with a couple of friends in front of the fireplace and a few games for entertainment. The game allows your imagination to escape the coldness and dark of the night and you can go anywhere your heart desires to go.
Hazel, Stan, Warren and Rick have been friends for quite a while now and their weekly game has become their outlet for dreams and fantasies. They take care of each other. They have grown together as a family. They even manage to perfectly ignore Hazel’s brother Austen, having stopped listening to him long ago. Everyone is settled in his or her life – or at least that is what they think.
But what happens if someone else joins their little group and turns things upside down? – Suddenly, there is Marcie. She appears out of the blue and nothing remains the same. Heads are turned and hearts beat faster at her sight. Everybody loves her, don’t they? When everything starts to change, people seem to lose control. Can things be brought back on track?
