Winter Semester 2008/2009

Lord Arthur Savile is just about to marry his fiancée Sybil, when her mother suggests having his palm read by Mr Podgers, who, assumably, is able to foretell the past, present and future just by having a quick look at one’s hand. A vision of blood shockingly enters Arthur’s life: Mr Podgers predicts that Arthur will commit one murder during the course of his life. In order to protect his wife from any future disasters, he decides to commit his murder immediately in order be able to marry and to have a prosperous future. Unfortunately, killing someone is not as easy as it seems to be and so his intended victims are simply incredibly lucky and refuse to drop down dead just yet. His butler, Baines, and the German anarchist, Mr. Winkelkopf, try their best to aid Lord Arthur but all odds are against them.
Will Arthur commit a murder? Will he enter prison or marriage? Who will be the victim? Who will find out?
Come and see the play to join Arthur, the embodiment of a perfect English gentleman of the upper class, in his desperate quest for victims and murder weapons! Meet his nice and funny aunts, Lady Windermere and Lady Clementina, as well as his uncle, the Dean of Paddington, who is supposed to join the couple in marriage, provided that he doesn’t forget it.
Will Arthur end up doing someone a favor or will he kill an innocent victim who just wants to live? Can he make Sybil happy and satisfy her mother? And did Mr Podgers actually tell the truth?
